Without a doubt, weddings in India or around the world are a huge and a costly affair. People don’t shy away from spending a fortune  in  weddings. Needless to say, with all the lavish décor and high-end food,  we low-key   enjoy  weddings. But, lately there have been various trends to go small on that vast guest list. With no cut outs on fun and entertainment, couples nowadays have started to opt for micro weddings.

So to speak, micro weddings are an intimate affair, typically with no more than 50 guests. They still feature time-honored traditions that make the wedding meaningful  but on a much smaller scale. As the trend is catching up pace so are the  wedding planners with new decor and entertainment ideas in order to keep the couple as well as their guests happy and satisfied.

Cover the basics

Start with basics first when it comes to micro weddings as it is essential to have all the basics like food, alcohol and music.  Without these three things a wedding would be incomplete irrespective of the size of guest list. Alcohol and music allows you to loosen up and enjoy the party whereas food is always an important part in holding people together.

You can then add flowers and décor to the party once you are done with your basic planning.

Go wild with your Imagination

When the guest list is small you can always go big on the aesthetics part. You can take help from your wedding planner to change your imagination into  reality. Micro weddings or intimate weddings open doors to many possibilities. You can rent out cafés, galleries, parks or rustic and chic restaurants.

These places already have an ambience of their own and with a little flower décor with the help of outdoor event rentals it is easy to turn the place into a photogenic one.

Document your memories

When the guest list is small you will have plenty of time to have a proper photo shoot.  As an intimate wedding only includes close friends and family that a fewer in number they can also participate in the photo shoot.

Add Meaning to the ceremony!

In an intimate wedding you will get more time to actually connect with individuals. You can write personal notes for every guest or read your vows out loud which is rarely seen at an Indian wedding. Longer  toasts  can be made by the parents or  the best man and  the bridesmaid.  They can share personal anecdotes that will literally elevate the whole intimate experience.

Get the ceremony painted!

This is a new trend that people have welcomed wholeheartedly.  A small wedding can be easily painted in one frame.  Trust me! This is going to the best memory of the most important day of your life. Any angle of the moment can be painted like when the bride walks down the aisle, the garland ceremony or even the main rituals. Hire a professional painter and thank me later!
